Investing in students
The Jewish Women's Foundation of Greater Pittsburgh is proud to donate $10,000 to the Pittsburgh Promise, the fund recently created by UPMC and the Pittsburgh Public Schools to provide college funds for Pittsburgh students. The JWF, founded in 2000 by women in the Pittsburgh community, funds projects that create lasting social change in the lives of women and girls in the Jewish and general communities. Many of our trustees live in Pittsburgh but all understand the need for the city and its surrounding communities to thrive.
The Jewish Women's Foundation is committed to Pittsburgh's public school system, all of its young people and their educations. Our foundation is young and still growing, but our members realize the value of utilizing our limited resources to fund a program that will help Pittsburgh's students and their families plan and prepare for education beyond high school.
With the inception of this outstanding program, JWF hopes that other organizations will participate in its funding, investing in the future of Pittsburgh area students and our region.
